A full first-look review of the UNS Dual All-In-One aquarium lineup, engineered to work for both freshwater (FW) and saltwater (SW) with the same shared accessory ecosystem across six tank sizes: 30cm and 40cm cubes, 45cm and 90cm peninsulas, and a 60cm rectangle.
What's Standard on Every Tank
45° mitered edges, low-iron glass, all-glass construction (only the raisable baffle uses acrylic, bonded to a glass piece rather than directly siliconed)
Two UNS bio blocks included standard, with room to add more
All-glass lid with a notch for light mounting and lifting, reducing evaporation and light spill
Silicone (not vinyl) tubing on a fully adjustable turbo-flow nozzle pump — dial flow down for delicate freshwater species or wide open for saltwater demand
Modular Accessories (Shared Across All Six Sizes)
Media chamber: replaces the stock sponge/sock filter with customizable foam, floss, bio bricks, and chemical media (Purigen, Chemipure, etc.) trays
Protein skimmer: DC pump-driven, height-adjustable to match water level, with a drainable cup valve for extended maintenance intervals away from home
Intake guard: adjustable slide to protect smaller/delicate species and catch floating debris before it reaches the filter
Filter sock conversion kit: includes a 200-micron polishing sock and fine mesh sock — noticeably clarified a cloudy freshwater planted tank within an hour in our testing
Coming soon: a built-in refugium with light for the middle chamber, and an auto top-off unit that also conceals the protein skimmer for a cleaner background look.
Bonus: The Freshwater-Only 30C
A freshwater-dedicated version of the 30cm cube (7 gallons) skips the skimmer/refugium chamber space in favor of more usable room, ships with a white background, and partners with Aquario accessories — including a lily pipe outflow and a CO2 mixer that swaps in for the return elbow for hidden, clean CO2 diffusion.
