Aquarium Maintenance Service in South Florida

Routine maintenance visits from Nature Aquariums start at $125. The final price depends on the aquarium's volume, whether it is a reef, fish-only saltwater, planted or freshwater community system, and how often you want service. Aquariums do best on weekly service, especially in businesses where the tank has to look pristine for customers, and on demanding reef and high-tech planted systems. Many residential tanks run well on a two- to four-week cycle. We recommend a schedule after seeing the tank and adjust it as the system matures.

Only Nature Aquariums employees. We do not use subcontractors. Every technician is background-checked, insured, and trained in our Lauderhill store before servicing client aquariums. The service team is made up of marine science students and graduates and is led by Nathan, a marine biologist with a master's degree from Nova Southeastern University.

Yes. Reef systems are a specialty. Our technicians work in full marine reef environments daily and maintain client tanks with digital water analysis as needed, calibrated dosing for alkalinity, calcium, magnesium and trace elements, PAR testing with light adjustment, and controller checks on systems running a Neptune Apex or similar.

Yes. Henry, our owner, has designed and planted aquascapes in South Florida since 2008, and Nature Aquariums has offered professional planted-tank maintenance since 2022. Planted-tank service includes trimming and replanting, CO2 and fertilizer tuning, PAR-based light adjustment, and full rescapes when you want a new layout. Plants come from the largest live-plant selection in Florida, in our own store.

We bring tools, filter media and the supplies each visit needs, and mixed saltwater for reef and marine systems. Freshwater systems use your tap water, re-buffered and re-mineralized to suit the tank, or RO/DI when the system calls for it. You provide access to the aquarium and a nearby drain or sink for wastewater. Someone should be available for the first visit so we can walk through the system together; after that, most clients set up a standing access arrangement.

Our maintenance routes run from Boynton Beach south to Miami, covering all of Broward County, southern Palm Beach County (Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Boca Raton) and northern Miami-Dade (Aventura, Miami Shores, Miami Beach, Miami, Coral Gables). Payment is collected at the end of each visit on our mobile point-of-sale, so you see exactly what you are paying before you pay it, with no surprises. Every visit is recorded to your Nature Aquariums account, the same account you use in our store and online, along with any product or equipment we supply. Service clients also get our internet pricing on products, equipment and complete aquarium set-ups, so you never pay over retail for anything we install.

Yes. We deliver and set up new aquariums, relocate existing systems within South Florida, and handle equipment installation and replacement. Custom rimless planted set-ups and complete reef systems are designed and built through our store.

The well-being of the animals is the first priority on every visit. Our marine biologist-led team diagnoses the problem, corrects the water conditions behind it, and recommends treatment or quarantine when needed. Catching changes early is the main reason we look closely at both the animals and the water on every visit.
