Refund & Return Policy
We make every effort to accurately describe and disclose our products prior to purchase, and we will always do our best to support our customers within reasonable means. Please review this policy before completing your purchase — by purchasing from us, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
All refunds and exchanges must be authorized by a store manager. Approved refunds are issued as store credit only. No cash refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
In-Store Purchases — Dry Goods Only
- Returns are accepted within 14 days of the original purchase date for store credit.
- Items must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging.
- A store receipt is required for all returns and exchanges.
- All customers must be registered at checkout (minimum name and phone number) for us to process any return or exchange.
- A 25% restocking fee applies to all returned dry goods.
- Bundled items, discounted items, special event purchases, and offsite sales are final sale — no returns or exchanges.
Livestock Policy
All livestock sales are final. No refunds, credits, or exchanges will be issued for any livestock under any circumstances, with the limited exception described below. This includes freshwater and saltwater fish, corals, invertebrates, aquatic plants, and macroalgae.
We take great care in sourcing and acclimating our animals, and we are happy to answer your questions before you purchase to help ensure a good match for your system.
24-Hour Casualty Reporting Fish Only
If a fish passes within 24 hours of purchase, please follow the steps below exactly. Reports submitted outside this window, or that do not meet all requirements, cannot be considered.
To file a casualty report, you must:
- Contact us within 24 hours of the time of purchase.
- Provide your original receipt.
- Submit clear photographs of the deceased fish from multiple angles.
- Preserve a 4 oz water sample from your tank and bring it to the store within 24 hours of purchase.
Upon receipt of a complete report, we will perform a complimentary digital water test on your sample to help diagnose any potential issues in your system. The limit of our liability is the water test itself. No store credit, replacement, or refund will be issued for livestock casualties.
No exceptions will be made for losses attributable to an uncycled aquarium, aggression from tankmates, incompatible water parameters, improper acclimation, or any condition within the owner's control.
Corals, Invertebrates, Plants & Macroalgae Final Sale
All sales are final with no exceptions. No casualty reporting or water test is available for these categories.
Tanks & Stands
All tank and stand sales are final — no returns, refunds, or exchanges. This applies to both in-stock and special order tanks and stands. Please measure your space, review specifications, and ask questions before purchasing. We are happy to help you choose the right fit.
Special Orders
Items ordered or sourced specifically at a customer's request are non-refundable and non-exchangeable once the order has been placed. This includes any item not in stock at the time of purchase that we procure on your behalf.
If a special order item arrives defective, we will do our best to assist in coordinating a claim with the manufacturer, but the resolution of that claim is the manufacturer's responsibility, not ours.
Online Orders
All online orders are final at the time of purchase. No cancellations, returns, or exchanges are accepted.
We ship only brand-new, never-used merchandise. We reserve the right to cancel any order and issue a full refund if we are unable to procure or fulfill the item ordered. You will be notified promptly if this occurs.
Shipping Damage
If your order arrives damaged, you must report it within 24 hours of delivery. Retain all original packaging and provide:
- At least 4 clear photographs of the exterior of the box.
- At least 4 clear photographs of the interior packaging.
- At least 4 clear photographs of the damaged item from different angles.
Replacements or refunds for damaged shipments will not be issued until the shipping insurance claim has been reviewed and approved, which typically takes 5 to 10 business days.
Setups, Deliveries & Tank Moves
All setup, delivery, installation, and tank relocation services are provided as-is. No warranties are implied or expressed regarding livestock survival, equipment performance, aesthetics, or satisfaction with the finished result.
We will make every reasonable effort to support a successful outcome, but once a service is complete, the ongoing care, maintenance, and health of your aquarium are the responsibility of the owner. No refunds or adjustments will be issued for services rendered.
