Schismatoglottis prietoi can resemble Anubias, with 3-8 cm long, elliptic leaves, but grows faster and does best planted in the bottom layer of substrate, where it willingly produces runners. An undemanding, easy plant that thrives in most aquaria, even in very poor light. It naturally grows in rivers of the Philippines, often in large, dense groups. Once well established, it develops a dense root system and grows faster than typical Anubias.
