Rotala Rotundifolia 'Green' — Tissue Culture

$11.95 USD

Grown in-vitro in a sterile lab, this Tissue Culture cup of Rotala Rotundifolia arrives free of pests, algae, and snails. The most versatile and easiest-to-grow Rotala species — vigorous and undemanding even under moderate light without supplemental CO2, though it responds beautifully to better conditions with dense, bronze-and-pink-toned growth.

Skill Level Easy
CO2 Not Required, but recommended
Requires Aqua Soil Not required, but recommended
Type Stem
Max Height 6-16"
Placement Midground to background, needs regular trimming
Light Level Medium to High (approx. 50-100 PAR)
Origin Asia (widespread)
Other Also available as a Bunch. Formerly mislabeled in the trade as "Rotala indica" — that is a different species.

Care & Planting: Rinse tissue culture gel off before planting. Responds well to heavy trimming — becomes a dense, full bush.

A note on appearance: Many stem plants, including this one, are harvested in their above-water (emersed) form, and the photo may not reflect how it looks once fully adjusted to life underwater. Leaf shape and coloration commonly shift as the plant transitions to submersed growth — don't be surprised if new growth looks different from what arrived in your order. Give it a few weeks to acclimate before judging its final look.
