Other Family Asparagaceae. Also known as Mondo Grass, Fountain Plant, Snakesbeard, and Lilyturf. Medium growth rate; propagates by division of rhizome. Should not be grown submerged in water. Note: distinct from Ophiopogon pusillus, a related species previously found miscategorized under Aquarium Plants.

Care & Planting: An evergreen, rhizome-spreading groundcover with grass-like dark green leaves, ideal for terrarium and paludarium foregrounds above the waterline. Prefers partial to full shade and moderate humidity. Keep soil well-draining and evenly moist but never waterlogged or submerged — this is a terrestrial plant only.
