Low stock - 3 in stock, ready to ship

Nymphaea Perry's Baby Red is a small, very free-flowering hardy water lily with cup-shaped red flowers and a slight fragrance — a good pick for tub gardens and small ponds. Note: this is a true hardy pond lily grown with its pads floating at the water's surface, not a submersed planted-tank species.

Skill Level Easy
CO2 Not Required (pads float at the surface, not submersed)
Requires Aqua Soil No — plant in a container with heavy aquatic/garden soil, not fine-grain aqua soil
Type Rhizome (hardy marginal/floating-leaf pond plant)
Max Height Pads float at the surface (plant in 6"-24"+ of water); small-leaved cultivar, well suited to smaller containers
Placement Pond surface / small tub — not intended for a typical planted aquarium
Light Level High (full sun, 6+ hrs/day for best flowering)
Origin Hardy Nymphaea hybrid (Slocum, 1989)
Other Also available as Nymphaea 'Black Princess' and Nymphaea 'Jakkaphong'. Hardy variety — can overwinter if the rhizome stays below the freeze line, or bring indoors in cold climates.

Care & Planting: Plant the rhizome in a container with heavy aquatic or garden soil topped with gravel, then submerge in a pond or small tub at the appropriate depth. Place in full sun for best flowering and fertilize with aquatic plant tabs during the growing season.
