Grown in-vitro in a sterile lab, this Tissue Culture cup of Pearlweed (Hemianthus micranthemoides) arrives free of pests, algae, and snails. A bright green, low-growing stem plant perfect for beginners — versatile enough for foreground, midground, or background use.

Skill Level Easy
CO2 Optional (higher CO2 and light yield denser, bushier growth)
Requires Aqua Soil Not required, but recommended
Type Stem
Max Height 2-6"
Placement Foreground, midground, or background
Light Level Medium (approx. 30-60 PAR)
Origin North America
Other Also available as a Bunch. Tolerates substantial pruning — let it grow large and dense, then shape it as desired.

Care & Planting: Rinse tissue culture gel off, then trim the ends of stems, group several together, and bury them in the substrate, keeping other foliage clear of them.

A note on appearance: Many stem plants, including this one, are harvested in their above-water (emersed) form, and the photo may not reflect how it looks once fully adjusted to life underwater. Leaf shape and coloration commonly shift as the plant transitions to submersed growth — don't be surprised if new growth looks different from what arrived in your order. Give it a few weeks to acclimate before judging its final look.
