Crypt Walkeri is a common, low-requirement Cryptocoryne that's a good choice for beginners. Low to moderate lighting is enough to keep it going, and CO2 isn't required but will help it grow faster and more robust.

Care & Planting: Remove from the pot and root wool before planting into quality substrate. Crypts dislike being moved once established — pick a spot and leave it. Propagates via runners, which can be separated and replanted.

A note on "crypt melt": Cryptocoryne are well known for shedding their leaves after being moved, replanted, or exposed to a sudden change in water parameters. This is normal — new, better-adapted leaves typically regrow within a few weeks once the plant settles in. Don't panic if it happens; just maintain stable conditions and give it time to recover.
