$25.95 USD

Pickup currently unavailable at Nature Aquariums Retail Store

Common Name: Anubias Nana Pinto (Tissue Culture)

Anubias Nana Pinto is a striking example of artificial selection — a human-made variety developed over many generations for its white-green variegated leaves, unique to every plant. This tissue-culture version is grown in-vitro under sterile lab conditions, ensuring it arrives free of pests, algae, and snails.

Skill Level Easy
CO2 Not Required
Requires Aqua Soil No — grows attached to hardscape or driftwood; benefits from, but does not require, nutrient-rich substrate
Type Rhizome (Epiphyte) — Tissue Culture
Max Height 2-5"
Placement Foreground / Midground, attached to hardscape
Light Level Medium to High (approx. 40-80 PAR) — higher light helps maintain white coloration
Origin Cultivated variety (Anubias nana lineage); species origin West Africa
Other Family: Araceae. pH 6-7.5. Grows slower than standard green Anubias.

Care & Planting: Rinse or soak off the tissue-culture gel before planting. Attach the rhizome to driftwood or rock — do not bury it in substrate. Keep water parameters stable during acclimation to avoid melt.
