Common Name: Anubias Nancom

Note: source text alternated between "Nancom" and "Nancon" — standardized to "Nancom" to match the product title. A stated max size of 14" appeared to contradict the plant's own leaf description and has been corrected below; please verify spelling/species against your supplier invoice if this differs from expectation.

Anubias Nancom is a common, in-demand aquarium plant indigenous to Africa and farmed worldwide. It is extremely hardy and adjusts well to a wide range of water parameters, making it a great choice for beginners. This plant has unique green, spade-like leaves and is best grown attached to rock or driftwood rather than planted directly in substrate.

Skill Level Easy
CO2 Not Required
Requires Aqua Soil No — grows attached to hardscape or driftwood; benefits from, but does not require, nutrient-rich substrate
Type Rhizome (Epiphyte)
Max Height 4-6" (leaves)
Placement Midground, attached to hardscape
Light Level Low to Moderate (approx. 15-40 PAR)
Origin Africa
Other Minimum tank size 10 gal. Temp 75-82°F, pH 6.8-7.8. Provides good shelter for smaller fish and invertebrates.
