Dwarf Sagittaria is a popular foreground plant that adds subtle depth to the aquascape — it can also grow tall enough to work as a mid- or background accent. Easy to care for and great for beginners, with bright green, wide-blade grass-like leaves. Can be grown emersed or submersed; a mature plant can send a stem to the surface and bloom small white flowers.

Skill Level Easy
CO2 Not Required (grows faster with it)
Requires Aqua Soil No — tolerates hard, alkaline water
Type Rooted (Grass)
Max Height 4-12"
Placement Foreground to midground/background
Light Level Moderate (thrives with higher light; approx. 30-70 PAR)
Origin North/South America
Other High light may bring out red tones. Insufficient iron causes sickly, yellow leaves.

Care & Planting: Propagates readily on its own and will form a thick carpet if left alone. To propagate manually, pinch off runners and plant into substrate.
