River Buttercup (Ranunculus inundatus) is a low-growing aquatic plant. It's a stolon-type stem plant that creeps horizontally, sending runners along the substrate to form new plants — individual stems can be trimmed along the horizontal shoots and replanted directly. High lighting and CO2 injection are necessary to keep this plant low and compact; thin, vertically-growing stalks indicate a lack of light, while yellowing leaves can mean a nutrient deficiency. It can grow submersed or emersed in dry-start setups and Wabi Kusa.
