Pogostemon Erectus

$5.95 USD

Pogostemon erectus was originally collected in Maharashtra, India. It has become an extremely popular aquarium plant with supplemental CO2 and moderate-or-better light. Under these conditions it is an extremely vigorous plant despite its delicate, feathery foliage — it can even grow a little too fast in a heavily fertilized tank.

Care & Planting: Plant individual stems into substrate. Trim regularly to encourage bushy, dense growth rather than a single tall stem.

A note on appearance: Many stem plants, including this one, are harvested in their above-water (emersed) form, and the photo may not reflect how it looks once fully adjusted to life underwater. Leaf shape and coloration commonly shift as the plant transitions to submersed growth — don't be surprised if new growth looks different from what arrived in your order. Give it a few weeks to acclimate before judging its final look.
