Bacopa Caroliniana originates from the United States and has been a staple aquarium stem plant for many years. Stems grow 10-30cm long and 3-4cm wide, branching readily from the base. It has few demands, making it a convenient choice for beginners, and its slow growth rate means it needs less frequent trimming than most stem plants. Like most stem plants, it's most decorative when planted in small groups.

Care & Planting: Split the bunch apart, remove leaves from the lowest 2" of each stem, and plant individually with some spacing into the substrate. Roots develop quickly and growth follows soon after.

A note on appearance: Many stem plants, including this one, are harvested in their above-water (emersed) form, and the photo may not reflect how it looks once fully adjusted to life underwater. Leaf shape and coloration commonly shift as the plant transitions to submersed growth — don't be surprised if new growth looks different from what arrived in your order. Give it a few weeks to acclimate before judging its final look.
