Anubias Congensis Mother Pot

$23.95 USD

Mother Pots are large, mature plants — the specimens responsible for propagating the smaller pots more commonly seen in the hobby. Their large size makes them a great choice for bigger planted tanks. This is Anubias Congensis (also called Anubias Afzelii), with slender, sharp leaves unlike the round leaves of Anubias Barteri or Nana, native to tropical Africa's streams, rivers, and marshes.

Skill Level Easy
CO2 Not Required
Requires Aqua Soil No — epiphyte, attach to hardscape rather than bury the rhizome
Type Rhizome (Epiphyte)
Max Height 10-14" (large, mature specimen)
Placement Background
Light Level Low (approx. 15-40 PAR)
Origin West Africa
Other Also available as standard-size Anubias Congensis.

Care & Planting: Attach the rhizome to driftwood, rock, or hardscape — never bury it in substrate, as this will cause it to rot. Propagate by cutting or pulling apart the rhizome and reattaching the pieces.
