Ambulia (Limnophila indica)

$5.99 USD

Ambulia (Limnophila indica) is an old-fashioned aquarium stand-by among the fine-leafed Limnophila species — hard to tell apart from its relatives unless grown emersed and flowered. A commendable beginner plant, it thrives even without supplemental CO2 and under only moderate light, growing bushier and faster with better conditions.

Skill Level Easy
CO2 Not Required
Requires Aqua Soil Not required, but recommended for faster growth
Type Stem (also produces creeping runners)
Max Height 8-16"
Placement Background (or kept trimmed)
Light Level Medium (approx. 30-60 PAR)
Origin Africa, Asia, Australia — naturalized in parts of the Americas
Other Sold as Bunch.

Care & Planting: Remove the plant from its wrap and lead weight, then plant into substrate. Propagate by cutting the stem and replanting cuttings. As with all farm-grown stem plants, the photo may not reflect its submersed look — leaf shape and color often shift once the plant adjusts to underwater growth.
