At Nature Aquariums, we handpick each plant to ensure it is optimal for shipping and meets our high standards. Our inventory reflects a diverse selection of aquatic plants we regularly receive from our trusted farms. However, availability can vary based on farm production and seasonal changes. Please verify the current stock with us to ensure the plant you desire is available for pickup or shipping.

Order Confirmation and Shipping

Once you place your order, we will confirm its details and availability via email from Tuesday through Friday. If, for any reason, we are unable to fulfill your order completely, we will notify you promptly. At that point, you can choose to substitute or cancel your order. For your convenience, all plants are shipped via 2nd Day Air to ensure they arrive in excellent condition.

Common Name: Parrot's Feather

Parrot's feather is a plant native to the Amazon River, where it can be found growing along streams, ponds, lakes and other bodies of water. As the name suggests, the stems exhibit feather like characteristics which are more pronounced when grown emersed.  This is a perennial plant which can be grown both submerged and emerged. It is commonly used in both ponds and aquariums and can be a popular choice for aquatic gardens.  

Notes:

  • This species is suitable for pond-style setups or aquariums with emergent growth sections.
  • Requires quite a bit of lighting to do well!
  • Relatively hardy and adaptable to a range of aquarium parameters. 
  • Please be sure to remove this plant from its lead bunch. Remove the cotton surrounding the roots and plant into a quality substrate. For instructions on how to properly plant "lead bunch" aquarium plants, click here.
  • CO2 injection and quality aquarium soil will yield better growth.
  • Please research appropriately to ensure your plant thrives.
