Cryptocoryne Sri Lanka is a less common Crypt species native to Sri Lanka, as its name suggests. Like other Cryptocoryne, it prefers to stay put once planted and can be sensitive to shifts in water parameters.

Care & Planting: Remove from the pot and root wool before planting into quality substrate. Crypts dislike being moved once established — pick a spot and leave it. Propagates via runners, which can be separated and replanted.

A note on "crypt melt": Cryptocoryne are well known for shedding their leaves after being moved, replanted, or exposed to a sudden change in water parameters. This is normal — new, better-adapted leaves typically regrow within a few weeks once the plant settles in. Don't panic if it happens; just maintain stable conditions and give it time to recover.
