Najas is one of the easiest aquarium plants to grow.  It can be left floating or grown like a stem plant by burying the stems into your substrate.  It can survive in a wide range of conditions and does not require any special attention, making it perfect for beginners who are trying out live plants for the first time.  

Najas is a favorite among breeders who are looking to provide their fry with ample hiding places.  This plant can be left floating in the water column and will grow to cover the entire tank within weeks.
